How does No1intheworld.com work?

No1intheworld.com has been designed to be as simple as possible for the user but also as useful as possible for sports men and women across the globe.

Each sport at No1intheworld.com has it's own ladder.

What is a ladder?

All the leaderboards on No1intheworld.com are based on the ladder ranking system. This system is very popular in sport centres and clubs.

If you imagine each player on the ladder is a 'rung' of the ladder. The higher up the ladder you are the higher your rank is. To progress up the ladder you have beat a person somewhere above you. If you do beat the person above you, you then go one place above him and everyone below drops a place. If you don't beat the person then there is no change in the ladder. Advice on challenging someone!

To keep things informal and friendly we have decided at No1intheworld.com that there are no rules as to who you can play. In most clubs there will be rules such as only play people 2 positions above you. As this is a global system this obviously wouldn't be practical so in theory you can play any rank. HOWEVER we must advise you to use some common sense. Just because you have been playing a sport hard for a years doesn't necessarily make you the next number one in the world! You will look a fool! Play it cautious and make it clear to someone who you are going to challenge what standard you are. Don't waste someone's time by thinking you are better than you really are! Look at their profile and see what skill ranking they have set themselves at.

The match!

Really this part is up to you and your opponent. All we advise is that before you start make sure you both understand the rules and what score will decide the winner. For example if you are playing Tennis, make it clear before you start, how many sets you will play. If you decide best out of 3 and then one person later on thinks it should be best out of 5, then this will only cause arguments. Use common sense and draw the rules up before playing!

After the match!

After the match it is the LOSERS responsibility to report the loss on the website. Ideally time permitting the person should try to report the match the same day. If as the winner you notice the result has not been posted up after 24hrs or so, email your opponent. In the unlikely event there are still problems then simply email us. No1intheworld.com believes in fair play though and hopes it's members will do so too!

Whatever you do, enjoy sport as much as we do!
